As Christians, we have been called to be obedient to God in big things and little things, day in and day out, longer than we can do on our own, in our own strength. Living in godly obedience is sometimes hard, but God has anointed and equipped us for the job. We can do whatever we need to do with His help – and not only that, we can learn to do it with smiles on our faces!
Hanging on a thin thread, by the moment, is a terrifying thing. Sometimes we just want to give in to our bodies, hearts, and minds.
Throw in the towel; I’ve had enough.
Beloved, we’re hanging on God’s rope of Life, Hope, Faith, and Love. Because of Him, we can hang on in spite of ourselves. We are not hanging by some meagre and fading thread of hope but by His faith.
Heh. Always goes to show- you can walk whatever path you’re on, but if time doesn’t set you straight, GOD WILL. He always stops me straight up. No one can run from him! For he sees all. And he truly is out for your good. Just to keep in mind. Food for thought. I know he always stops me from walking off a cliff. And then he corrects me. And let’s just say, who can love you more than that hey? He saves and he corrects and he restores. He alone has all the patience in the world, and while I lose my temper and my sight and my vision, he keeps me still. And he keeps me walking. And he keeps me breathing. And he keeps me from breaking. And even when I sometimes do break myself (how can we help it, we are such broken creatures that we alone seek hurt-), he puts me back together. He restores. He alone stands tall and loves, loves like no other. To him, no other can compare. He is my Beloved. Just because he loves me like that. Just because he loves me THAT much. God is serious about you.
Even when you can be flaky and worn down and run away and blown about like a reed in the wind- He is the one that will call on you. He will still call you out by name. For though there are weak moments where you think you are not worthy and crumble away at his touch- know this: that you are never worthy, will never be worthy and yet that is why it is called his grace. That is why it can move mountains and shake seas. Because it does not reason with reason. It reasons with grace. For the grace that died for many is the one that hung upon the cross. The cross for all mankind to see what was meant to be done to Us has now been done to thee. He who carries the cross. He is the name above every other name. Praise the Lord Jesus and praise His holy holy name. Him who gives his cares above all to fend for you, to fight for you, to want you. Even at your most broken, even at your most hurt.
What the world calls rubbish He calls treasure.
While the world walks on dust, He stoops down to pick them up. Though you are nothing but dust He has fortified you. He has called you out among the nations! You shall not be nothing, no, you shall not be nothing. You shall not be complacent; you shall not be content. You shall hear the CRY of the Lord! The ROAR of his heart. You are his warrior and He is your king. Train yourselves then! Train yourselves that you might receive the word of the Lord and go on charging into the near-time revival; charge your hearts that they might cringe at the sound of the broken, of the dying- knowing that it has cost the Lord. Let your ears not fall deaf to the cries of the hungry, let your hearts not be dead to the wars that this world is raging. This world is awake. This world is in pain. This world is suffering. This world is calling out for its Saviour. Let your eyes not be turned blind, but see. BUT SEE.
Don’t lose yourself just because you found somebody.
